It is really hard not to fall in love with our unique downtown St. Augustine.  It was founded in 1565 and is called “the Oldest City.” There is so much to do in St. Augustine! One of my favorites is St. George Street which is lined with great places to eat, chocolate shops, ice-cream shops, gelato, bars with live music playing, clothing stores, jewelry stores, The Oldest School House and so much more.  I like going downtown and walking St. George Street it makes me feel like I am on vacation.  As I like to say “I am going to go play tourist now.” The great thing about downtown is that everything is pretty much in walking distance.  There are so many beautiful churches in the downtown area that you will want to take some time to stop and look around them. Some other great attractions are the Castillo de San Marcos, Oldest Jail, Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park, Pena Peck House, St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum, Colonial Quarter, Lightener Museum and the Mission of Nombre de Dios & Shrine.  Leaving from the City Marina is the St. Augustine Eco tour, The Scenic Cruise, Ravenswood Pirate Ship and The Schooner Freedom Sailboat. The views of our downtown from the water are breathtaking! If you are hungry I guarantee you will be able to find whatever kind of food that you are craving! At Christmas Time downtown is covered with white Christmas Lights which makes our charming downtown area even more special and festive.  There are great parks to take the kids to and even a park with an old-fashioned carousel. Looking to live in downtown St. Augustine?  There are a few different neighborhoods and areas to look at.  There is Historic Downtown, Lincolnville, The Abbot tract and North City.  Each area and neighborhood has their unique beauty and all would be great places to call home.

Lincolnville
